Founder and lead attorney, Alissa Gearhart, had a lifelong dream to become an attorney and help people get justice, following in her father's foot steps. Alissa's family have have owned successful businesses in Central Illinois since the 1940's.
After high school, Alissa married a narcotics detective and moved to New York. Alissa graduated as valedictorian, summa cum laude from the State University of New York (SUNY), setting a record for most courses attempted and completed in a single semester (33 credit hours) before receiving a Presidential Scholarship to Roger Williams University School of Law in Bristol, Rhode Island, where she graduated from the Honors legal program. Alissa divorced her first husband and moved home to the Illinois' Valley, where she started her litigation practice.
Alissa represented businesses of every size all over Illinois while serving as Chicago counsel to one of the world's largest insurance companies and their subsidiaries. Alissa is known as a tough litigator and negotiator in both state and federal courts, where she has over ten years of trial and appellate experience.
Alissa has proudly represented the Illinois Valley Animal Rescue, a Not for Profit Corporation, pro bono, for over ten years.
